Blair Seibert has more than 25 years of architectural experience in commercial, multi-family residential and institutional projects. Included are 20 projects that have been approved by the U.S. Green Building Council as LEED certified (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design). In 2006, she founded Verde Concepts to support building owners, contractors and other architects striving to reduce the environmental impact of their projects. Her company served as a consultant for the first office building in Los Angeles to attain LEED Existing Building certification and the first two offices to attain LEED Commercial Interiors Gold level certification in Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
Her professional focus is on sustainable design, consulting and teaching. She successfully introduced the nationally recognized Sustainable Building Advisor Program™ to Santa Monica College in 2007. In addition, she is a guest lecturer for UCLA’s The Ecology of Design course.
Blair is a certified trainer for the Governor of California’s Office of Emergency Services, which trains architects and engineers to support the state’s overall response to major disasters.
A licensed architect since 1989 and LEED Accredited Professional since 2003, she holds a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree from Mississippi State.
